About Me
I’m Samantha Woodcock, a Licensed Master Social Worker with a Master of Social Work and Trauma Treatment Graduate Certificate from the University of Tennessee, and a Bachelor of Social Work from Augusta University.
With over 6 years of experience across diverse mental health settings, I am deeply committed to walking alongside individuals, couples, families, and children through some of life’s most difficult moments. My approach is rooted in empathy, authenticity, and trust. My philosophy is meeting you exactly where you are.
What problem do you strive to overcome?
Sometimes clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, unheard, unseen, or unsure whether the process can truly help them. They feel stuck and frustrated and aren’t certain where to begin.
My goal is to create a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment where clients can show up exactly as they are. Through an individualized approach, I work with you to accomplish goals that are unique to your needs and experience at your own pace, without judgment. Therapy with me is a relationship built on trust, where your healing leads the way.
My Approach
Healing is not about fitting into a rigid mold, it’s about uncovering your personal path to resilience. Using a strengths-based, trauma-informed framework, I draw from a range of evidence-based methods including:
These approaches are especially effective for trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, moral injury, relationship challenges, and behavioral concerns in children and adolescents.
What to Expect from Therapy
Therapy with me is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to you. We will work together to explore the root of what is holding you back, address deep-seated patterns that strain your relationships and sense of self, and build practical tools that restore confidence and peace to your daily life.
My professional background spans school-based counseling, community mental health, case management with Augusta Accountability Courts, and specialized work with military populations. As an Army veteran and milspouse, I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to my work with service members, veterans, and their families.

Issues I Work With
More Than Just My Work
As a veteran, I know firsthand the importance of finding balance and outlets that keep you grounded. Outside of the therapy room, I love spending time with my family and dog, diving into historical fiction and all things paranormal — shows, movies, documentaries, and books. I channel my creativity through cooking, gardening, and sewing and crafting projects. Creativity is my outlet, and I love encouraging clients to explore that side of their brain too.
